Irradiation effects in high-entropy alloys and their applications

We have found an experimental evidence for the existence of the Dirac nodal line in the quasiparticle spectrum of the polar phase of superfluid $^3$He. The polar phase is stabilized by confinement of $^3$He between nm-sized cylinders. The temperature dependence of the gap, measured via frequency shift in the NMR spectrum, follows expected $\propto T^3$ dependence. The results support the Fomin extension of the Anderson theorem to the polar phase with columnar defects: perfect columnar non-magnetic defects do no perturb the magnitude of the gap in the polar phase. The existence of the node line opens possibilities to study Bogoliubov Fermi surfaces and flat-band fermions in the polar phase.

Abstract High-entropy alloy (HEA) superconductors—a new class of functional materials—can be utilized stably under extreme conditions, such as in space environments, owing to their high mechanical hardness and excellent irradiation tolerance. However, the feasibility of practical applications of HEA superconductors has not yet been demonstrated because the critical current density ( J c ) for HEA superconductors has not yet been adequately characterized. Here, we report the fabrication of high-quality superconducting (SC) thin films of Ta–Nb–Hf–Zr–Ti HEAs via a pulsed laser deposition. The thin films exhibit a large J c of &gt;1 MA cm −2 at 4.2 K and are therefore favorable for SC devices as well as large-scale applications. In addition, they show extremely robust superconductivity to irradiation-induced disorder controlled by the dose of Kr-ion irradiation. The superconductivity of the HEA films is more than 1000 times more resistant to displacement damage than that of other promising superconductors with technological applications, such as MgB 2 , Nb 3 Sn, Fe-based superconductors, and high- T c cuprate superconductors. These results demonstrate that HEA superconductors have considerable potential for use under extreme conditions, such as in aerospace applications, nuclear fusion reactors, and high-field SC magnets.

This survey research aimed at determining the ecological intelligence level of students. It involved 120 fourth grade students of elementary school. The findings revealed that the students‟ intelligence level, with an average score of 77.48, was classified in „high‟ category. In addition, other aspects were also classified into the „high‟ category with an average score on attitude aspect of 78.19, skill aspect of 77.69, and participation aspect of 76.56. To conclude, the ecological intelligence of the fourth grade elementary school students was classified in „high‟ category.

Why Do Students Need to Establish Ecoliteracy

High-entropy alloy (HEA) superconductors characterized as having a high mixing entropy have attracted substantial interest because of their remarkable potential for technological applications. However, the superconducting (SC) gap of HEA superconductors, which is one of the important factors for designing SC devices, has scarcely been studied. Herein, we report the direct observation of the fully gapped pairing symmetry of the HEA superconductor ${\mathrm{Ta}}_{1/6}{\mathrm{Nb}}_{2/6}{\mathrm{Hf}}_{1/6}{\mathrm{Zr}}_{1/6}{\mathrm{Ti}}_{1/6}$, probed using Andreev reflection spectroscopy. The Andreev reflection, a pronounced signature of superconductivity, is observed in the differential conductance ($\mathrm{d}I/\mathrm{d}V$) spectra below the SC transition temperature ${T}_{\mathrm{c}}$ of 7.9 K, which is well explained by the modified Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk model. The SC energy gap (\ensuremath{\Delta}) as a function of temperature and magnetic field follows the Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer (BCS) theory with $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}(0)=1.37\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\mathrm{meV}$. However, the gap to ${T}_{\mathrm{c}}$ ratio, $2\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Delta}}(0)/{k}_{B}{T}_{c}=4.03$, is larger than the value of 3.54 predicted by the weak-coupling BCS theory, indicating that ${\mathrm{Ta}}_{1/6}{\mathrm{Nb}}_{2/6}{\mathrm{Hf}}_{1/6}{\mathrm{Zr}}_{1/6}{\mathrm{Ti}}_{1/6}$ belongs to the class of moderately coupled nodeless superconductors.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pandangan Maqashid Syari`ah al-Khamsah terhadap putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi nomor 46/PUU-VIII/2010 tentang status anak luar nikah, pendapat Fatwa Maqashid Syari'ah al-Khamsah MUI No. 11 Tahun 2012 dan perbandingan diantara kedua putusan tersebut. Untuk memecahkan isu hukum terkait penelitian tersebut, pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan undang-undang (statute approach) dan pendekatan perbandingan (comparative approach). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dalam Putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi Nomor 46/PUUVIII/2010 tentang status anak luar nikah, konsep al-dharuriyat, Maqashid Syariah al-Khamsah atau hifdz nafs dibahas sangat erat, karena membahas tentang hak anak melindungi jiwa anak dengan memenuhi kebutuhannya. Sedangkan menurut pemahaman prinsip hifdz nashl Maqashid Syari'ah al-Khamsa, keturunan yang sah adalah anak yang lahir dari perkawinan yang sah secara agama. Fatwa MUI No. 11 Tahun 2012 tentang status anak luar nikah dan perlakuan terhadap kelahirannya. Hal ini sejalan dengan Maqasid Syari'ah al-Khamsah, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan hifdz nashli karena Maqasid Syari'ah al-Khamsah yang menyatakan bahwa generasi anak bagi orang tuanya adalah yang lahir dari perkawinan sah. Fatwa tersebut juga sesuai dengan Maqasid Syari’ah al-Khamsah dalam hifdz nafs yaitu dengan diwajibkannya bagi laki-laki yang mengakibatkan kelahirannya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sang anak dan memberikan harta yang dimiliki melalui wasiat wajibah.
