Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization by FTIR spectroscopy of silica aerogels prepared using several Si(OR)4 and R′′Si(OR′)3 precursors

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy characterization results dealing with the surface modification of silica aerogels obtained via a two-step sol-gel process where various silicon precursors and co-precursors were used.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photocatalytic water oxidation by a mixed-valent Mn(III)₃Mn(IV)O₃ manganese oxo core that mimics the natural oxygen-evolving center.

TL;DR: The tetramanganese-substituted tungstosilicate [Mm(III)3Mn(IV)O3(CH3COO)3(A-α-SiW9O34)](6-)(Mn4POM) offers an unprecedented mimicry of the natural system in its reduced S0 state; it features a hybrid organic-inorganic coordination sphere and is anchored on a polyoxotungstate.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Planar {Mn19(OH)12}26+ Unit Incorporated in a 60-Tungsto-6-Silicate Polyanion†

TL;DR: The synthesis and structure as well as the magnetic and electrochemical properties of a 19 manganese(II) center containing 60-tungsto-6-silicate, [Mn19(OH)12(SiW10O37)6] 34 are reported and 1 is the highest nuclearity manganesecontaining POM known to date.
Journal ArticleDOI

Latent and active abPPO4 mushroom tyrosinase cocrystallized with hexatungstotellurate(VI) in a single crystal.

TL;DR: The enzyme crystallized as a crystallographic heterodimer containing the zymogen, the 21 kDa smaller activated form (A-TYR) and the polyoxometalate within one single crystal in a 1:1:1 ratio.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vanadium-based polyoxometalate as new material for sodium-ion battery anodes

TL;DR: In this paper, polyoxometalates (POMs) are used as an anode in NIBs to obtain a reversible capacity of approximately 276 mA h g−1 with an average discharge potential of 0.4 V vs. Na/Na+, as well as a high cycling stability.
