Resonant Control of a Single-Phase Full-Bridge Unity Power Factor Boost Rectifier

TL;DR: This work studies the dynamics of a single-phase full-bridge unity power factor boost AC-DC converter and develops a linear cascade resonant controller in order to meet two control objectives: to regulate the mean value of its DC output voltage and to drain from the network a sinusoidal current in phase with the sinusoid source voltage.
Journal ArticleDOI

High Performance Repetitive Control of an Active Filter under Varying Network Frequency

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed and designed a controller based on combined feedforward and feedback actions, the last using repetitive control, to obtain a good closed-loop performance (power factor close to 1 and, load current harmonics and reactive power compensation) in spite of the possible frequency variations that may occur in the electrical network.
Journal ArticleDOI

Power active filter control based on a resonant disturbance observer

TL;DR: In this article, an active disturbance rejection control scheme for active filters is presented, where the controller is based on a linear disturbance observer combined with a disturbance rejection scheme, and parameter tuning is based based on combined pole placement and an optimal estimation based on Kalman-Bucy filter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chattering free sliding mode observer estimation of liquid water fraction in proton exchange membrane fuel cells

TL;DR: A model-based high-order sliding mode observer (HOSM) with chattering-free capabilities is deployed to estimate unmeasurable variables in a proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell and the temperature and the internal liquid water fraction are estimated.
Journal ArticleDOI

A repetitive control scheme for distributed solar collector field

TL;DR: This article proposes an alternative structure of the repetitive controller which also works with a fixed frequency, but is tuned taking into account the uncertainty in the resonance mode frequencies in order to achieve fast, well-damped system responses.
