Francesco Pepe,Stefano Cristiani,Rafael López,Nuno C. Santos,António Amorim,Gerardo Avila,Willy Benz,Piercarlo Bonifacio,Alexandre Cabral,Pedro Carvas,Roberto Cirami,João Coelho,M. Comari,Igor Coretti,Vincenzo De Caprio,Hans Dekker,Bernard Delabre,Paolo Di Marcantonio,Valentina D'Odorico,M. Fleury,Ramon G. Garcia,José Linares,I. Hughes,Olaf Iwert,Jorge Lima,Jean-Louis Lizon,Gaspare Lo Curto,Christophe Lovis,Antonio Manescau,Carlos Martins,Denis Mégevand,André Moitinho,Paolo Molaro,Mário J. P. F. G. Monteiro,M. A. Tenegi,Stéphane Udry,Eros Vanzella,Matteo Viel,Maria Rosa Zapatero Osorio,Filippo Maria Zerbi +49 more
TL;DR: ESPRESSO, the Echelle SPectrograph for Rocky Exoplanets and Stable Spectroscopic Observations, will combine the efficiency of modern echelle spectrograph design with extreme radial-velocity precision.
Journal ArticleDOI
New synthetic routes to synthons suitable for 2′-O-allyloligoribonucleotide assembly
TL;DR: The development of a novel synthon based on 2,6-diaminopurine riboside enables short 2'-O-allyl-oligoribonucleotide probes to be synthesized with adenine replaced by 2-aminoadenine, and very stable hybrids with complementary RNA target sequences can be formed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Properties of triple helices formed by parallel-stranded hairpins containing 8-aminopurines
Anna Aviñó,Miriam Frieden,Juan Carlos Morales,Beatriz G. de la Torre,Ramon G. Garcia,Ferran Azorín,José Luis Gelpí,Modesto Orozco,Carlos González,Ramon Eritja +9 more
TL;DR: Hairpins carrying 8-aminopurines give very stable triple helical structures even at neutral pH, as confirmed by gel-shift experiments, circular dichroism and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
The structural protein p54 is essential for African swine fever virus viability
Fernando Rodriguez,Victoria Ley,Paulino Gómez-Puertas,Ramon G. Garcia,JoséF. Rodriguez,JoséM. Escribano +5 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the p54 gene product plays an essential role in virus growth, characterizing for the first time in ASFV an essential virus gene.
Journal ArticleDOI
DNA-triplex stabilizing properties of 8-aminoguanine
Robert Soliva,Ramon G. Garcia,J. Ramon Blas,Ramon Eritja,Juan Luis Asensio,Carlos González,F. Javier Luque,Modesto Orozco +7 more
TL;DR: A DNA-triplex stabilizing purine (8-aminoguanine) is designed based on molecular modeling and synthesized and it is demonstrated that few changes are found in the structure of the triplex due to the presence of this modified base.
