TiNb2O7-Keratin derived carbon nanocomposites as novel anode materials for high-capacity lithium-ion batteries
Ganesh Babu Thiyagarajan,Vasu Shanmugam,Michael J. Wilhelm,Sanjay Mathur,Sanjay Mathur,Sahana B. Moodakare,Ravi Kumar +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the carbon component of the nanocomposites is derived from an inexpensive and sustainable keratin rich biological source and the reinforcement of carbon in TiNb2O7 facilitated the formation of non-stoichiometric (Ti0712Nb0288)O2 crystalline phase, in addition to the stoichiometric TiNbo7 phase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Disordered mesoporous polymer derived N-doped TiO2/Si-O-C-N nanocomposites with nanoscaled heterojunctions towards enhanced adsorption and harnessing of visible light
TL;DR: The mesoporous N-doped TiO2/Si-O-C-N ceramic nanocomposites have been revealed to be a potential candidate towards visible light photocatalytic degradation of organic dyes as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ablation resistance of precursor derived Si-Hf-C-N(O) ceramics
TL;DR: In this article, Si-Hf-C-N(O) foams were produced by pyrolysis of polysilazane containing varying amounts of hafnium tetra n -butoxide and X-ray tomography was used to determine the cell size distribution.
Journal ArticleDOI
Friction Welding of Electron Beam Melted γ-TiAl Alloy Ti–48Al–2Cr–2Nb
TL;DR: In this article, rotary friction welding of electron beam melted (EBM) γ-TiAl alloy Ti-48Al−2Cr-2Nb (at%) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Room temperature strain rate sensitivity in precursor derived HfO2/Si-C-N(O) ceramic nanocomposites
Ravindran Sujith,Ravi Kumar +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the room temperature strain rate sensitivity using depth sensing nanoindentation on precursor derived HfO2/Si-C-N(O) ceramic nanocomposite sintered using pulsed electric current sintering.
