Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni.: an updated review of its health benefits, industrial applications and safety
Jamil Ahmad,Imran Khan,Renald Blundell,Joseph Ignatius Azzopardi,Mohamad Fawzi Mahomoodally,Mohamad Fawzi Mahomoodally +5 more
TL;DR: An updated overview on stevia and isolated phytochemical, steviol glycosides is presented, highlighting the health benefits, phytochemistry, industrial applications, and safety, and advocating for long-term clinical studies into its safety, health benefits and physiological mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI
Generation of plasma functionalized water: Antimicrobial assessment and impact on seed germination
Martina Darmanin,Dmytro Kozak,Dmytro Kozak,Jefferson de Oliveira Mallia,Renald Blundell,Ruben Gatt,Vasilis P. Valdramidis +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effectiveness of plasma activated water (PAW) on the germination capacity of mung bean seeds and the antimicrobial capacity of PAW was evaluated, where a specially designed setup composed of two electrochemical cell was used to produce two different types of PAWs, by surface plasma discharge ignited from copper cathode and copper anode, respectively.
