A Genotype-Guided Strategy for Oral P2Y12 Inhibitors in Primary PCI
Daniel M.F. Claassens,Gerrit J.A. Vos,Thomas O. Bergmeijer,Renicus S Hermanides,Arnoud W J van 't Hof,Pim van der Harst,Emanuele Barbato,Carmine Morisco,Richard M. Tjon Joe Gin,Folkert W. Asselbergs,Folkert W. Asselbergs,Arend Mosterd,Jean-Paul R. Herrman,Willem Dewilde,Paul W.A. Janssen,Johannes C. Kelder,Maarten J. Postma,Anthonius de Boer,C. Boersma,Vera H.M. Deneer,Jurrien M Ten Berg +20 more
TL;DR: In patients undergoing primary PCI, a CYP2C19 genotype-guided strategy for selection of oral P2Y12 inhibitor therapy was noninferior to standard treatment with ticagrelor or prasugrel at 12 months with respect to thrombotic events and resulted in a lower incidence of bleeding.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anticoagulation with or without Clopidogrel after Transcatheter Aortic-Valve Implantation
Vincent J. Nijenhuis,Jorn Brouwer,Ronak Delewi,Renicus S Hermanides,Wouter Holvoet,Christophe L F Dubois,Peter Frambach,Bernard De Bruyne,Gert van Houwelingen,Jan Van der Heyden,Petr Toušek,Frank van der Kley,Ian Buysschaert,Carl E. Swaans,Benno J W M Rensing,Arnoud W J van 't Hof,Leo Timmers,Johannes C. Kelder,Pieter R. Stella,Jan Baan,Jurriën M Ten Berg +28 more
TL;DR: In patients undergoing TAVI who were receiving oral anticoagulation alone or with an antiplatelet agent after transcatheter aortic-valve implantation (TAVI), the incidence of serious bleeding over a period of 1 month or 1 year was lower with oral anti-acute bleeding alone than with oral antICOagulation plus clopidogrel.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aspirin with or without Clopidogrel after Transcatheter Aortic-Valve Implantation
Jorn Brouwer,Vincent J. Nijenhuis,Ronak Delewi,Renicus S Hermanides,Wouter Holvoet,Christophe L F Dubois,Peter Frambach,Bernard De Bruyne,Gert van Houwelingen,Jan Van der Heyden,Petr Toušek,Frank van der Kley,Ian Buysschaert,Carl E. Swaans,Benno J W M Rensing,Arnoud W J van 't Hof,Leo Timmers,Johannes C. Kelder,Pieter R. Stella,Jan Baan,Jurriën M Ten Berg +28 more
TL;DR: Among patients undergoing TAVI who did not have an indication for oral anticoagulation, the incidence of bleeding and the composite of bleeding or thromboembolic events at 1 year were significantly less frequent with aspirin than with aspirin plus clopidogrel administered for 3 months.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Evolocumab on Coronary Plaque Phenotype and Burden in Statin-Treated Patients Following Myocardial Infarction.
Stephen J. Nicholls,Yu Kataoka,Steven E. Nissen,Francesco Prati,Stephan Windecker,Rishi Puri,Thomas Hucko,Daniel Aradi,Jean-Paul R. Herrman,Renicus S Hermanides,Bei-bei Wang,Hong Wang,Julie Butters,Giuseppe Di Giovanni,S. Jones,Gianluca Pompili,Peter J. Psaltis +16 more
TL;DR: In this article , the effect of evolocumab on optical coherence tomography (OCT) measures of plaque composition was evaluated in patients with a non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thin-cap fibroatheroma predicts clinical events in diabetic patients with normal fractional flow reserve: the COMBINE OCT-FFR trial.
Elvin Kedhi,Elvin Kedhi,Balázs Berta,Tomasz Roleder,Renicus S Hermanides,Enrico Fabris,Alexander Ijsselmuiden,Floris Kauer,Fernando Alfonso,Clemens von Birgelen,Clemens von Birgelen,Javier Escaned,Cyril Camaro,Mark Kennedy,Bruno Pereira,Michael Magro,Holger Nef,Sebastian Reith,Arif Al Nooryani,Fernando Rivero,Krzysztof Piotr Malinowski,Giuseppe De Luca,Hector Garcia Garcia,Juan F. Granada,Wojciech Wojakowski +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of optical coherence tomography (OCT)-detected thin-cap fibroatheroma (TCFA) on clinical outcomes of diabetes mellitus (DM) patients with fractional flow reserve (FFR)-negative lesions was investigated.
