Evaluation of laser induced breakdown spectroscopy for the determination of micronutrients in plant materials
Lilian C. Trevizan,Dário Santos,Ricardo E. Samad,Nilson Dias Vieira,Lidiane Cristina Nunes,Lidiane Cristina Nunes,Iolanda A. Rufini,Francisco José Krug +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) system has been evaluated for the determination of macronutrients (P, K, Ca, Mg) in pellets of vegetal reference materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Color center production by femtosecond pulse laser irradiation in LiF crystals
Lilia Coronato Courrol,Ricardo E. Samad,Laércio Gomez,Izilda Marcia Ranieri,Sonia Licia Baldochi,Anderson Zanardi de Freitas,Nilson Dias Vieira +6 more
TL;DR: It is shown that it is possible to write tracks in the LiF crystals with dimensional control and the proposed mechanism of formation is based on multiphoton excitation that also produce short lived F(2) (+) centers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Green synthesis of stable silver nanoparticles using Euphorbia milii latex
Ricardo Almeida de Matos,Thiago da Silva Cordeiro,Ricardo E. Samad,Nilson Dias Vieira,Lilia Coronato Courrol,Lilia Coronato Courrol +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple method to create silver nanoparticles that consists in the irradiation of a silver nitrate and Euphorbia milii solution by light from a xenon lamp followed by ultrashort laser pulses was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of Femtosecond Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy for Analysis of Animal Tissues
Dário Santos,Ricardo E. Samad,Lilian C. Trevizan,Anderson Zanardi de Freitas,Nilson Dias Vieira,Francisco José Krug +5 more
TL;DR: Data obtained indicate both that it is a matrix-independent sampling process and that fs-LIBS can be used for the determination of Ca, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Na, and P, but efforts must be made to obtain more appropriate detection limits for Al, Sr, and Zn.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analytical description of z-scan on-axis intensity based on the Huygens–Fresnel principle
TL;DR: In this article, an analytical expression capable of calculating the on-axis far-field electric field of a Gaussian beam carrying a phase with a Gaussian profile is obtained, based on the Huygens-Fresnel principle.
