Polarization properties of gelatin holograms

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the diffraction efficiency of both S and P polarizations at any angle is dependent on the product of thickness and index modulation while the angle inside the medium is also dependent on n. Transmission gratings made at angles from 36 to 66 degrees were fit to mathematical models as proof of the phenomena.
