Journal ArticleDOI

New Trinuclear Complexes of Group 6, 8, and 9 Metals with a Triply Bridging Borylene Ligand.

TL;DR: All compounds are composed of a bridging borylene ligand (B-H) that is effectively stabilized by a trinuclear framework and the molecular structures were determined by using single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hypoelectronic 8–11-Vertex Irida- and Rhodaboranes

TL;DR: A series of novel isocloso-diiridaboranes isolated and structurally characterized from the pyrolysis of [Cp*IrCl2]2 and BH3·thf and attain an 11-vertex geometry in which a unique six-membered B6H6 moiety is bonded to the metal center.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diborane(6) and Its Analogues Stabilized by Mono-, Bi-, and Trinuclear Group 7 Templates: Combined Experimental and Theoretical Studies.

TL;DR: All the new species of rhenium diborane(6) species have been characterized spectroscopically, and their structures were further confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chlorination of the terminal hydrogen atoms in the hydrogen-rich group 5 dimetallaboranes (Cp*M) 2 (B 2 H 6 ) 2 (M = Nb, Ta)

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors showed that the HOMO−LUMO energy gap due to chlorination of the parent metallaboranes verifies the substitution, which in turn shows good agreement with the electronic spectra of the molecules 1 and 3.
Journal ArticleDOI

Metal rich metallaboranes of group 9 transition metals

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and structural characterization of moderately air stable metal-rich metallaboranes of iridium has been reported, which is the first example of a iridadecaborane having three metals.
