Journal ArticleDOI

Axially and Helically Chiral Cationic Radical Bicarbazoles: SOMO-HOMO Level Inversion and Chirality Impact on the Stability of Mono- and Diradical Cations.

TL;DR: These specific electronic properties allowed us to prepare a persistent, intrinsically chiral, diradical which notably displayed near-infrared electronic circular dichroism responses up to 1100 nm and almost degenerate singlet-triplet ground states with weak antiferromagnetic interactions evaluated by magnetometry experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polymorphic Copper Iodide Anions: Luminescence Thermochromism and Mechanochromism of (PPh4)2[Cu2I4].

TL;DR: By displaying luminescence properties that depend on crystalline structure, excitation wavelength, temperature, and mechanical solicitation, the studied copper iodides offer a great possibility of emissive color control and switching, a clear demonstration of the great potentialities of this family of compounds for the development of photoactive materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

A plot drainage network as a conceptual tool for the spatial representation of surface flow pathways in agricultural catchments

TL;DR: A new approach is proposed to build the drainage network which is based on the identification of the inlets and outlets for surface water flow on each farmers' field (or plot), estimating the relative areas contributing to the surface yield.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, characterization and unusual near-infrared luminescence of 1,1,4,4-tetracyanobutadiene derivatives

TL;DR: Two 1,1,4,4-tetracyanobutadiene (TCBD) derivatives were prepared by [2+2]cycloaddition-retroelectrocyclization from ynamides bearing either a pyrene or a perylene unit and unexpectedly display NIR photoluminescence.
Journal ArticleDOI

Late-Stage Diversification of Biarylphosphines through Rhodium(I)-Catalyzed C-H Bond Alkenylation with Internal Alkynes

TL;DR: A novel bisalkenylated (dialkyl)biarylphosphines was employed for the preparation of a palladium(II) complex, and some of these functionalized ligands outperformed their corresponding unfunctionalized phosphines in Pd-catalyzed amidation with sterically hindered aryl chlorides.
