TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a standardization of the experimental protocol for metal sorption in soil, which includes at least one treatment meeting minimal standards of ionic strength (0.01), background electrolyte (NaNO 3 ), pH (between 5.5 and 6.0), and temperature (25 ± 3°C) to enable improved ability to make interlaboratory comparisons.
