NSAID prescriptions in kidney transplant recipients

TL;DR: One in 10 kidney transplant recipients are prescribed an NSAID, and most do not get follow-up testing of graft function and hyperkalemia as mentioned in this paper, despite guidelines recommending that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) be avoided in kidney transplant patients due to potential nephrotoxicity.

TL;DR: If deemed consent legislation is meant to increase organ donation and transplantation, addressing public concerns will be important to ensure successful implementation, and improving government transparency and communication, clarifying questions and addressing concerns, and providing evidence for the bills were identified as key considerations.
