Journal ArticleDOI

Correction: Comparative dissection of the peripheral olfactory system of the Chagas disease vectors Rhodnius prolixus and Rhodnius brethesi

TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic procedure that allows for direct measurement of the response of the immune system to earthquake-triggered landsliding.
Peer ReviewDOI

Systematic Position of Ptilophorus dufourii Inferred from Its Primary Larva, with Notes on Ptilophorinae (Coleoptera: Ripiphoridae)

TL;DR: Hsiao et al. as mentioned in this paper described the primary larva of P. dufourii based on SEM and CLSM images, and suggested a sister group relationship between Ptilophorinae and Pelecotominae by the presence of only two stemmata, spatulate femoral setae, a scale-like lateral cranial surface, and an enlarged antennal sensorial appendage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Catching prey with the antennae - The larval head of Corethrella appendiculata (Diptera: Corethrellidae).

TL;DR: The horizontal frontoclypeal antennal grooves and the lateral rows of strongly developed bristles are likely larval autapomorphies of Corethrellidae, and the presence of raptorial antennae is a highly unusual apomorphy shared with Chaoboridae.
