A note on the Cardy–Verlinde formula
Boliang Lin,Rong-Gen Cai +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first law of black hole thermodynamics is checked and it is shown that the Cardy-Verlinde formula, which is supposed to be an entropy formula of CFTs in any dimensions, is just a rewritten form of Einstein equations on the black hole horizon.
Applicability of holography in thermodynamic equilibrium
Run-Qiu Yang,Li Li,Rong-Gen Cai +2 more
TL;DR: For a strongly coupled system that has a gravity dual description, this article showed that the standard holographic dictionary yields a nonnegative susceptibility when the system is in thermodynamic equilibrium and the correlation function is absolutely integrable.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantum criticality tuned by magnetic field in optimally electron-doped cuprate thin films
Xu Zhang,Heshan Yu,Heshan Yu,Qihong Chen,Run-Qiu Yang,Run-Qiu Yang,Ge He,Ziquan Lin,Qian Li,Jie Yuan,Beiyi Zhu,Liang Li,Yang Yang,Tao Xiang,Rong-Gen Cai,Anna F. Kusmartseva,Feodor Kusmartsev,Feodor Kusmartsev,Junfeng Wang,Kui Jin +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a transport study of cation-optimized cuprate superconductors is presented, where the Hall number jumps from 0.10 T to 60 T at the AF boundary.
