Changes of phosphate and ammonium nitrogen in irrigated waters of Hani terrace wetlands along the elevation gradients

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured PO3-P and NH4+-N concentrations in the overlaying waters at different elevations in Hani terrace wetlands on the Yunnan plateau of China in December, 2004, in order to study spatial variations in nitrogen and phosphorous concentrations along the elevation gradients under domestic sewage injection in fallow period.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulation of changes in some soil properties as affected by water level fluctuation in an inland salt marsh

TL;DR: In this article, an 87-day simulation experiment was conducted to test the effects of water level fluctuation on soil properties of an inland salt marsh, which was periodically flooded for 15 days with consistent water levels of 10 cm above the surface soil and then drained to 0 cm for 9 days.
Journal ArticleDOI

Application of Modified Biochar in the Treatment of Pesticide Wastewater by Constructed Wetland

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors explored the synergistic effects of modified biochar in the purification of herbicide-containing wastewater, and showed that the addition of biochar to the constructed reed bed wetland improved the removal efficiency of total nitrogen and total phosphorus in the wastewater.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterizing bacterial communities in Phragmites australis rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere sediments under pressure of antibiotics in a shallow lake

TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the differences of bacterial communities under the influence of antibiotics and key bacterial species and dominate environmental factors in Baiyangdian (BYD) Lake.
