Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of the Type of Fiber on the Structure and Viscoelastic Relaxations in Composites Based on a Metallocenic Ethylene-1-octene Copolymer.
TL;DR: In this article, the role of the fiber on crystallite development is discussed based on WAXS, SAXS and optical microscopy and DSC experiments, and the viscoelastic behavior is modified by incorporation of fiber when compared with the plain copolymer.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of residual acetate groups on the structure and properties of vinyl alcohol–ethylene copolymers
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of residual groups on the structure of the resulting copolymers, studied by nuclear magnetic resonance and wide-angle X-ray scattering, was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative studies of the mechanical and thermal properties of clay / copolymer nanocomposites synthesized by two in-situ methods and solution blending method
Oscar Hernández-Guerrero,Bernardo Fabián Campillo-Illanes,Martha Lilia Domínguez-Patiño,Rosario Benavente,Horacio Martinez,Alejandro Sedano,Heriberto Villanueva +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, copolymer/clay nanocomposites were prepared by two different methodologies, the in-situ method and solution blending method, and compared the mechanical and thermal properties of the two different methods were performed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Random coil dimensions of poly(1‐hexadecene)
TL;DR: In this article, the characteristic ratios of three samples of poly(1-hexadecene) with different tacticities were evaluated from intrinsic viscosity and molecular weight data obtained with a size exclusion chromatograph with dual (concentration plus viscoity) detector.
Journal ArticleDOI
Branching and rheological behavior after electron irradiation in metallocene ethylene-co-norbornene copolymers
TL;DR: The effect of electron beam irradiation on a cycloolefin copolymer based on ethylene and norbornene with intermediate molar content of norbornenes has been evaluated in this article.
