Journal ArticleDOI

Microhardness and thermal study of the annealing effects in vinyl alcohol—ethylene copolymers

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of annealing and thermal history on the microhardness of three vinyl alcohol copolymers has been studied and the results compared with those for the corresponding homopolymers, poly(vinyl alcohol) and polyethylene.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystalline Structure and Viscoelastic Behavior in Composites of a Metallocenic Ethylene‐1‐octene Copolymer and Glass Fiber

TL;DR: In this article, the role of glass fiber incorporation on crystallite development is discussed based on real-time variable-temperature WAXS and SAXS experiments, and the viscoelastic behavior is considerably modified by incorporation of the glass fiber when compared with the plain copolymer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Short Glass Fiber on Structure and Mechanical Behavior of an Ethylene–1-Octene Copolymer

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the fiber on the structure and mechanical behavior of copolymer composites with short glass fiber has been analyzed, up to a fiber content of 60 wt%.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Mg content on the thermal stability and mechanical behaviour of PLLA/Mg composites processed by hot extrusion.

TL;DR: In the field of bioabsorbable composites for biomedical applications, extrusion has been employed as a method to prepare homogeneous blends of polymeric matrices with bioactive ceramic fillers to obtain an optimised contribution of Mg particles by finding a balance between thermal degradation and mechanical resistance of PLLA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of thermal history on morphology and viscoelastic behavior of ethylene–1-octene copolymers synthesized with metallocene catalysts

TL;DR: In this article, the relationship among structure and properties of copolymers of ethylene and 1-octene, synthesized by a particular metallocene catalyst system, was established.
