Journal ArticleDOI

Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol alters flow of blood to subcortical areas of the conscious rat brain

TL;DR: During the period of cataleptoid behavior at 20 minutes after injection, the flows of blood to dorsal hippocampus, hypothalamus, cerebellum and basal ganglia were reduced significantly, whereas perfusion of cortical areas was unaffected, believed to reflect acute functional responses to Δ9THC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Delta 9-tetrahydrocannabinol sensitization of the rat brain to direct cholinergic stimulation.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) on direct cholinergic stimulation of the rat brain were investigated, and the results indicate an apparent sensitization, by THC, of a limbic choline system.
