Journal ArticleDOI
Solubilization of active receptors for glucagon-like peptide-1(7-36)amide from rat lung membranes.
TL;DR: Nonhydrolyzable GTP analogues (GTP gamma S or GDP beta S) were unable to reduce GLP-1(7-36)amide-binding at solubilized receptors, arguing that the receptor is solubILized as a single protein and not as a receptor-G protein complex.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dexamethasone pretreatment of rat insulinoma cells decreases binding of glucagon-like peptide-1(7-36)amide.
TL;DR: The data suggest that the biological action of GLP-1(7-36)amide at the B-cell may be modified by glucocorticoids.
Journal ArticleDOI
Glucagon-like peptide 1 immunoreactivity in gastroentero-pancreatic endocrine tumors: a light- and electron-microscopic study.
TL;DR: Investigation in tissue specimens of various types of gastroenteropancreatic tumors revealed GLP-1 immunoreactivity in 17 neoplasias, indicating that the glucagon-like peptide 1 might be secreted at least by a few gastroentero-endocrine endocrine tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Receptors for atrial natriuretic peptide on isolated rat adipocytes
Journal ArticleDOI
Atrial natriuretic factor has a weak insulinotropic action in the isolated perfused rat pancreas.
TL;DR: The data indicate an insulinotropic effect of ANF on the rat pancreas, which is dependent on the utilized background secretagogues, and the hormone did not influence basal insulin secretion.
