Er3+/Yb3+ codoped Gd2O3 nano-phosphor for optical thermometry

TL;DR: In this paper, the maximum sensitivity derived from the FIR technique of the green upconversion emission is approximately 0.0039 K −1, which implies that Er 3+ /Yb 3+ codoped Gd 2 O 3 phosphor can play an important role in high temperature measurements with a better sensitivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fluorescence characteristics of Dy3+ ions in calcium fluoroborate glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, the free-ion Hamiltonian model and Judd-Ofelt theory have been used to analyze the energy level scheme and spectral intensities of Dy 3+ ions in CFB glasses.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of Li+ ion in the luminescence enhancement of lanthanide ions: favorable modifications in host matrices

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors highlight various contributing factors that help in the luminescence enhancement of lanthanide ions in the presence of alkali ions and modify host matrices in such a way that it favors radiative transitions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probing a highly efficient dual mode: down-upconversion luminescence and temperature sensing performance of rare-earth oxide phosphors.

TL;DR: The results suggest that this dual mode phosphor could be an exceptional choice for next generation luminescence-based temperature sensing devices as well as in advanced display devices.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vibrational spectrum of glycine molecule.

TL;DR: It is found that in the gas phase neutral glycine is more stable as compared to its zwitterionic form, which is similar to those obtained from extended basis set calculation as well as experimental values.
