Theory and measurement of unequal exchange: A comparison between a Marxist approach and an energy theory of value

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the relationship between man and nature, and the theory and measurement of unequal exchange, adopting a labour and then an energy theory of value, and it becomes apparent that, while ideologically distinct, the treatment of unequal exchanges by Marxist and a small group of environmental scientists is quite similar, yet the assumptions used and the results can be quite distinct.
