Comparative study of the dynamic glass transition temperature by DMA and TMDSC

TL;DR: In this article, the same frequency and temperature using quasi-isothermal conditions in both instruments were compared with three different polymer samples and it was found that when choosing a suitable response parameter, i.e. the phase angle, the dynamic glass transition temperature values obtained by both methods are practically the same.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of rheology, dielectric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry for gel time determination of a thermoset

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the results obtained by rheometry and dielectric analysis to those obtained using the Flory equation and found a reasonable agreement between the two techniques that lead to gel conversion values very close to the ones obtained using DEA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Static and dynamic light-scattering studies on micellar solutions of alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chlorides.

TL;DR: Static (SLS) and dynamic (DLS) light-scattering techniques were applied to the study of the aggregation of dodecyl-, tetradecyl-, and hexadecyldimethylbenzylammonium chlorides in water and in 0.01 and 0.05 m NaCl aqueous solutions, yielding results that covered the range where already repulsive interactions between micelles occur.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flow behaviour of suspensions of functionalized graphene nanoplatelets in propylene glycol–water mixtures

TL;DR: In this paper, different samples of functionalized graphene nanoplatelets dispersed into two different binary mixtures of propylene glycol and water at 10:90 and 30:70% were analyzed by using a DHR-2 rotational rheometer equipped with concentric cylinder geometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of the degradation of a thermoset system using TGA and modulated TGA

TL;DR: In this paper, the degradation of the epoxy system diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) cured with hardener metaxylilene diamine (m-XDA) was studied on a dynamic basis using TGA and modulated TGA techniques under a nitrogen atmosphere with 5% O 2.
