Giant barocaloric effect in the ferroic organic-inorganic hybrid [TPrA][Mn(dca)3] perovskite under easily accessible pressures.

TL;DR: This work shows that organic–inorganic hybrid compounds can also have great potential in the until now unexplored field of solid-state cooling by presenting giant barocaloric effects near room temperature already under easily accessible pressures in the hybrid perovskite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermogravimetric analysis of wood, holocellulose, and lignin from five wood species

TL;DR: In this paper, three hardwood and two softwood species were considered: Castannea sativa, Eucaliptus globulus, Quercus robur, Pinus pinaster, and Pinus sylvestris.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of silica content on thermal stability of fumed silica/epoxy composites

TL;DR: In this paper, composites of a fumed silica industrial residue and an epoxy resin were prepared and their thermal stability and thermal degradation behavior were studied by TGA in air.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of thermal behavior of natural and hot-washed sisal fibers based on their main components: Cellulose, xylan and lignin. TG-FTIR analysis of volatile products

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal behavior of natural and hot-washed sisal fibers was investigated by thermal X-ray diffraction (TXRD), analyzing the crystallinity index (%Ic) of cellulosic samples, and by simultaneous thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis coupled with Fourier-transformed infrared spectrometry (TG/DTA-FTIR), which allowed to examine the evolution of the main volatile compounds evolved during the degradation under inert and oxidizing atmospheres.
