Micropolar gold blood nanofluid flow and radiative heat transfer between permeable channels.

In this work, we present a two-phase model of blood flow through a porous layered artery in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. The characteristic of suspensions in blood allows us to assume blood as a micropolar fluid in the core region and plasma as a Newtonian fluid in the peripheral region of a blood vessel. The wall of a blood vessel is porous and composed of a thin Brinkman transition layer followed by a Darcy porous layer of different permeabilities. A magnetic field of uniform strength is transversally applied to the direction of blood flow. The authors obtained an analytical solution of the problem of blood flow through the composite porous walled artery. Analytical expressions for the flow velocity, microrotational velocity, flow rate, and stresses at the wall have been obtained in the closed form using the modified Bessel function. The effects of various flow parameters on the two-fluid model of blood flow are analyzed graphically. An important conclusion which is drawn from the solution of the present problem is that the different permeabilities of Darcy and Brinkman regions of the porous layered artery have a significant effect on the flow. A micropolar-Newtonian blood flow model through a porous layered artery in the presence of a magnetic field

The present study investigates the flow and heat transfer characteristics of blood carrying gold nanoparticles in a porous channel with moving/stationary walls in the presence of thermal radiation. Blood is considered as Newtonian fluid which is the base fluid and gold (Au) as nanoparticles. The governing equations are transformed into system of ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformations. The analytical solutions are obtained for the flow variables by employing homotopy analysis method (HAM). The analytical solutions are compared with the numerical solutions which are obtained by shooting technique along with Runge-Kutta scheme. It was noticed that there is a good agreement between analytical and numerical results. The influence of various parameters on velocity, temperature and heat transfer rate of gold-blood nanofluid has been discussed in detail. The temperature of the nanofluid increases with increasing the nanoparticle volume fraction. The heat transfer rate at the top wall increases with increasing nanoparticle volume fraction while it decreases for a given increase in radiation parameter.

Flow and Heat Transfer of Gold-Blood Nanofluid in a Porous Channel with Moving/Stationary Walls

Three different fractional models of Oldroyd-B fluid are considered in this work. Blood is taken as a special example of Oldroyd-B fluid (base fluid) with the suspension of gold nanoparticles, making the solution a biomagnetic non-Newtonian nanofluid. Based on three different definitions of fractional operators, three different models of the resulting nanofluid are developed. These three operators are based on the definitions of Caputo (C), Caputo–Fabrizio (CF), and Atnagana–Baleanu in the Caputo sense (ABC). Nanofluid is taken over an upright plate with ramped wall heating and time-dependent fluid velocity at the sidewall. The effects of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) and porous medium are also considered. Triple fractional analysis is performed to solve the resulting three models, based on three different fractional operators. The Laplace transform is applied to each problem separately, and Zakian’s numerical algorithm is used for the Laplace inversion. The solutions are presented in various graphs with physical arguments. Results are computed and shown in various plots. The empirical results indicate that, for ramped temperature, the temperature field is highest for the ABC derivative, followed by the CF and Caputo fractional derivatives. In contrast, for isothermal temperature, the temperature field of C-derivative is higher than the CF and ABC derivatives, respectively. It was noticed that the velocity field for the ABC derivative is higher than the CF and Caputo fractional derivatives for ramped velocity. However, the velocity field for the Caputo fractional derivative is lower than the ABC and CF for isothermal velocity.

Multiple Fractional Solutions for Magnetic Bio-Nanofluid Using Oldroyd-B Model in a Porous Medium with Ramped Wall Heating and Variable Velocity

This paper is concerned with a mathematical analysis of the flow of blood in the lungs. The smallest microscopic blood vessels in human lungs are organized into sheet like networks. Each sheet may be idealized into a channel bounded by two thin layers of porous media. A microcontinuum approach is used to determine the velocity and pressure distributions in the channel which is taken to diverge exponentially. Analytical expressions for the velocity and pressure distributions in the thin layer (interstitial space) as well as the corresponding computational results are presented. The flow velocity in the channel and the cell rotational velocity have also been determined.
