Journal ArticleDOI
Measurements of interaction cross sections and radii of He isotopes
Isao Tanihata,Hideki Hamagaki,Osamu Hashimoto,S. Nagamiya,Y. Shida,N. Yoshikawa,O. Yamakawa,K. Sugimoto,T. Kobayashi,D.E. Greiner,N. Takahashi,Y. Nojiri +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the interaction cross sections (σI) of all He isotopes of 790 MeV/nucleon on Be, C, and Al targets were measured by a transmission-type experiment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pion production mechanism in high energy heavy ion collisions
TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanism of pion production in high energy heavy ion collisions with the nuclear cascade model developed in a previous paper was studied. And the reason of the agreement is discussed by decomposing a variety of conditions employed in this model, and by reproducing the situations of Cugnon's cascade model and others.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of negative pions with 183-MeV/nucleon Ne beams
S. Nagamiya,S. Nagamiya,Hideki Hamagaki,Hideki Hamagaki,P. Hecking,S. Kadota,S. Kadota,R. Lombard,Yasuo Miake,Yasuo Miake,E. Moeller,E. Moeller,Steve Schnetzer,Herbert M. Steiner,Herbert M. Steiner,Isao Tanihata,Isao Tanihata,S. Bohrmann,J. Knoll +18 more
TL;DR: The energy spectra in this frame are of an exponential type with an inverse slope of 25 MeV for NaF and 26 MEV for Pb, and no evidence of a bump predicted to result from pionic instability is observed as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of pions and light fragments in 0.8A GeV La+La collisions
Shinichi Hayashi,Yasuo Miake,T. Nagae,S. Nagamiya,Hideki Hamagaki,Osamu Hashimoto,Y. Shida,Isao Tanihata,K. Kimura,O. Yamakawa,T. Kobayashi,X. X. Bai +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the spectra of pions and light fragments at laboratory angles from 10/sup 0/ to 89/Sup 0/ were measured in 0.8A GeV La+La collisions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relativistic effect on magnetic moments of negative muons bound to high-Z nuclei
T. Yamazaki,S. Nagamiya,Osamu Hashimoto,Kanetada Nagamine,K. Nakai,Kenzo Sugimoto,Kenneth M. Crowe +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the negative muons bound of Zn, Cd, and Pb nuclei has been determined and the observed values after the corrections for the internal fields have shown substantial deviations from the free-muon g factor: (g free -g) g free is (1.3±0.6)% for Zn.
