Journal ArticleDOI

Toxoplasma gondii micronemal protein MIC1 is a lactose-binding lectin

TL;DR: It is demonstrated here that micronemal protein 1 (MIC1) is a lactose-binding lectin, which suggests that MIC1 may act through its lectin activity during T. gondii infection.
Journal ArticleDOI

Changes in the proteomic profile during differentiation and maturation of human monocyte-derived dendritic cells stimulated with granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor/interleukin-4 and lipopolysaccharide.

TL;DR: The proteomic approach based on two‐dimensional gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry suggests that the DC protein profile depends on the stimuli used for differentiation and especially for maturation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination and Reoxidation of the Disulfide Bridges of a Squash-Type Trypsin Inhibitor from Sechium edule Seeds

TL;DR: Data show that disulfide bridge pairing and oxidation can be determined at nanomole levels and that sensitive and quantitative Edman degradation can eliminate the final time- and material-consuming step of disulfides determinations by eliminating the need to purify and cleave each peptide containing a disulfIDE bridge.
