The theory of the Vogel-Fulcher law of spin glasses

TL;DR: The law governing the experimental temperature dependence of the relaxation time of spin glasses τ −1 = ƒ o exp [ −A (T −T o ) ] is interpreted in terms of interactions between the magnetic clusters constituting them as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of electron hopping in 151Eu3S4 by Mössbauer spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this paper, an electron hopping model together with an exchange narrowing formula yield a temperature dependent hopping time characteristic of an activation process, and the activation energy found is 0.24 eV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic Properties of an Antiferromagnetic Orthoferrite

TL;DR: The orthoferrite DyFeO3, weakly ferromagnetic at room temperature, was found to become antiferromagnetic in this paper at 36°K and at 4.2°K at fields up to 40 kG with a good approximation to Kramers' doublet whose axis lies in the mirror plane of the crystal, making an angle of approximately 30° with the [010] axis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differential Thermal Analysis and Mössbauer Studies in Rare‐Earth Orthoferrites

TL;DR: In this article, the Curie temperatures of 14 different orthoferrites with the chemical formula RFeO3, (R = Y, La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) were measured by differential thermal analysis Hyperfine interactions of the Fe57 nucleus in the same materials were determined from their Mossbauer spectra
