Journal ArticleDOI
Deep Seismic profiling in central Australia
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used expanding spread reflection profiling, long-range refraction work and a small-scale three-dimensional refraction survey, as well as the more usual near-vertical incidence reflection profiling.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Central Australian seismic experiment, 1985: preliminary results
TL;DR: A regional north-south reflection line of 420 km length from the Northern Arunta Province to the southern part of the Amadeus Basin was recorded in 1985 as mentioned in this paper, and an east-west seismic refraction profile of 400 km length was recorded within the Arunta Block and suggests an average crustal thickness of 55 km.

Journal ArticleDOI
Tomographic reconstruction of upper crustal velocity variations in the Arunta Block, central Australia
TL;DR: In this article, a Seismic refraction/reflection program of crustal/upper mantle investigations was recently undertaken by the Australian Bureau of Mineral Resources within the Proterozoic Arunta Block, central Australia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Some preliminary results from regional seismic profiling in Central Australia
TL;DR: In 1985, the Bureau of Mineral Resources (BMR) recorded a regional deep seismic reflection profile of 420 km length from the Northern Arunta Province to the southern part of the Amadeus Basin this article.
