Journal ArticleDOI

Intestinal absorption of colostral lymphoid cells in newborn piglets.

TL;DR: In the pig, an animal having an epitheliochorial placenta, the colostral lymphoid cells are absorbed from the digestive tract and, hence, they can confer an active cellular immunity on the newborn piglets.
Journal Article

Intestinal absorption of colostral lymphocytes in newborn lambs and their role in the development of immune status.

TL;DR: The results demonstrate that lymphoid cells from the colostrum of the lambs' own dam become absorbed into the newborn lamb's lymph circulation, remain immunologically active and may transfer, besides immunological memory, also cellular activity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adenovirus-induced immune complexes in ovine fetuses

TL;DR: The histopathological changes seen in the organs allow us to conclude that the IC might play an important role in the pathogenesis of fetopathies.
