A Review of Three-Dimensional Scanning Near-Field Optical Microscopy (3D-SNOM) and Its Applications in Nanoscale Light Management

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an overview of aperture and apertureless type scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) techniques that have been developed, with a focus on three-dimensional SNOM methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Doping graphene thin films with metallic nanoparticles: Experiment and theory

TL;DR: In this article, the local effect of copper nanoparticles (Cu-NPs) on the Fermi energy of graphene domains in large-area graphene thin films was investigated. And the results corroborate the Kelvin-probe force microscopy experiments indicating that the level shifts in the presence of Cu NPs, which break the electron-hole symmetry of graphene due to its weak Van der Waals interactions with Cu even in the absence of chemical bonding and charge transfer.
