Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

Stefan Parkvall, +129 more
TL;DR: In this article, the uplink access configuration index is used to identify an uplink AP from among a predetermined plurality of AP configurations, and then the AP is transmitted to the wireless communications network according to the identified AP.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

PriMO-5G: making firefighting smarter with immersive videos through 5G

TL;DR: This paper introduces PriMO-5G, an EU-Korea collaboration project studying the use of 5G technologies and unmanned aerial vehicles or drones to enhance the safety and efficiency of firefighting operations and identifies several research challenges that call for new solutions in 5G radios and cores for mission-critical services.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Coexistence between 5G and Fixed Services

TL;DR: The results indicate that the interference that 5G radiates to the fixed link is higher than the requirement in the co- channel case, however a low traffic load at 5G together with beamforming is the best scenario with a 30\% probability of interference.

무선 통신 네트워크를 위한 네트워크 아키텍처, 방법, 및 디바이스

Stefan Parkvall, +132 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to improve the quality of the service provided by the service provider, which is based on the concept of "quality of service" (QoS).

Methods and modules for handling channels in a radio spectrum

TL;DR: In this paper, a method and an Operating Channel Assessment (OCA) module of a radio network node (BS) for handling a request for at least one channel as well as an OCA module of the core network node of a BS for providing at least 1 channel operable by a BS is disclosed, which is based on the set of local parameters and a set of global parameters.
