Studies on the bacterial etiology of airsacculitis of broilers in northern and middle Jordan with special reference to Escherichia coli, Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale, and Bordetella avium.

TL;DR: In vitro susceptibility testing revealed that E. coli isolates were sensitive to gentamicin and colistin, O. rhinotracheale to tetracyline, and B. avium to most of the nine antibiotics examined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seroprevalence of Toxocara canis antibodies in humans in northern Jordan.

TL;DR: Sera of 699 individuals, aged between 5-24 years, from the Irbid area, Jordan, were tested for Toxocara canis antibodies using an ELISA-IgG test and the trend of prevalence in relation to age was different according to sex.

Journal ArticleDOI

Electrophoretic elution of macromolecules from polyacrylamide or agarose gels.

TL;DR: A method for elution of micrograms of macromolecules from polyacrylamide and agarose gels is described and the recoveries were greater than 90% with three different macromolescules tested.
