Effect of rheological models on the hemodynamics within human aorta: CFD study on CT image-based geometry

TL;DR: Comparing the local shear stress magnitude in three branches at different critical cardiac instants shows that the shear thinning nature of blood can slightly influence WSS at diastole, in all branches.
Journal ArticleDOI

Treatment of Aqueous Solution Containing Acid red 14 using an Electro Peroxone Process and a Box-Behnken Experimental Design

TL;DR: The conventional approaches are not appropriately efficient since dyes are scarcely transferrable due to their low A-R-T-I-C-L-EI-L EI-N-F-O A-B-S-T -R-A-C -T
Journal ArticleDOI

Microwave pretreatment followed by associated microwave-hot air drying of Gundelia tournefortii L.: drying kinetics, energy consumption and quality characteristics

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the drying characteristics of Gundelia tournefortii using combined microwave-hot air (CMWHA) drying method, which consists of microwave pretreatment (specific powers of 450, 600 and 750 W), followed by associated microwavehot air drying (180, 300 and 450 W assisted with 60, 70, and 80°C inlet air temperature).
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic modeling of low density lipoprotein oxidation in arterial wall and its application in atherosclerotic lesions prediction

TL;DR: The present study provides a kinetic model for LDL oxidation in intima layer that can be used in modeling of atherosclerotic lesions development and existence of antioxidants that is responsible for the reduction of initiating rates and prevention of radical formations, have increased the concentration of LDL inintima by reducing the LDL oxidation rate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Remediation of Spent Caustic in the Wastewater of Oil Refinery by Photo-Fenton Process

TL;DR: In this paper, the photo-fenton process was used for the remediation of the spent caustic in the wastewater of Kermanshah Oil Refining Company in Iran.
