Journal ArticleDOI

Modification of jute fibre through vinyl grafting aimed at improved rot resistance and dyeability

TL;DR: In this paper, the graft copolymerization with methyl methacrylate (MMA) in the presence or absence of some other monomers such as maleic anhydride (MA) or methacrylic acid (MAA) in limited aqueous system using K2S2O8 as the initiator under photoconditions with the objective of inducing improved rot resistance and dyeability without loss in tensile strength of the fibre.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photopolymerization of methyl methacrylate using a combination of rhodamine 6G and benzoyl peroxide as photoinitiator in nonaqueous media

TL;DR: In this paper, the photopolymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) in visible light was studied at 40°C using Rhodamine 6G-Benzoyl peroxide combination as photoinitiator.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photopolymerization of methyl methacrylate using tetrahydrofuran sulphur dioxide complex as photoinitiator

TL;DR: In this article, the photoinitiator was used for the photo-polymerization of MMA in visible light at 40 using THF-SO2 complex as the photo initiator and the initiator exponent was 0.19 and monomer exponent lay between 1.0 and 1.5.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aqueous Polymerization of Methyl Methacrylate Initiated by Pyridine-Sulfur Dioxide Complex

TL;DR: In this paper, the aqueous polymerization of MMA was studied kinetically at 40°C using low concentrations of Py-SO2 complex as initiator, and the polymerization was characterized by bimolecular termination.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photopolymerization of methyl methacrylate using a combination of Michler's ketone and benzoyl peroxide as photoinitiator

TL;DR: A combination of Michler's ketone and benzoyl peroxide was used as photoinitiator for photopolymerization of methyl methacrylate at 40° as discussed by the authors.
