Journal ArticleDOI
Supercapacitors from nanotubes/polypyrrole composites
TL;DR: In this paper, a composite electrode based on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) coated with polypyrrole (PPy) has been used in supercapacitors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of carbon nanotubes–TiO2 nanocomposites
Andrei Jitianu,T. Cacciaguerra,Roland Benoit,Sandrine Delpeux,François Béguin,Sylvie Bonnamy +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the main objective is to coat carbon multiwall nanotubes surface with TiO2 as anatase in view of photocatalytic application for these nanocomposites.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanotubular materials for supercapacitors
TL;DR: In this paper, the capacitance of nanotubes modified with conducting polypyrrole (PPy) was shown to reach 170 F/g, about twice that given either by the original PPy or pure PPy, and the open entangled network of the nanocomposite seems to favour a better efficiency for the formation of the electrical layer in PPy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced capacitance of carbon nanotubes through chemical activation
Elzbieta Frackowiak,Sandrine Delpeux,K. Jurewicz,Katarzyna Szostak,Katarzyna Szostak,Diego Cazorla-Amorós,François Béguin +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used pure multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) as electrode material for supercapacitors in alkaline, acidic and aprotic medium.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanical properties of multiwall carbon nanotubes/epoxy composites: influence of network morphology
Y. Breton,G. Désarmot,Jean-Paul Salvetat,Sandrine Delpeux,Christophe Sinturel,François Béguin,Sylvie Bonnamy +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, different types of catalytically grown multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were dispersed in an epoxy resin, and then the mechanical properties of the MWNTs-epoxy composites were tested.
