Journal ArticleDOI

HPLC analysis of hexosamine phosphates in biological samples.

TL;DR: An HPLC method to quantify hexosamine phosphates in biological samples is described, modified from the o-phthaldialdehyde amino acid analysis procedure, which is more selective and sensitive than previous enzymatic analyses of hexosamines phosphorylation.

Lysosomal degradation ensures accurate chromosomal segregation to prevent genomic instability

TL;DR: It is shown that mitotic transition does not only rely on proteasome-dependent degradation, as impairment of lysosomes increases mitotic timing and leads to mitotic errors, thus promoting chromosomal instability.
Book ChapterDOI

6-Phosphofructo 2-Kinase/Fructose 2, 6-Bisphosphatase: Kinetic Changes Induced by Phosphorylation

TL;DR: Differences between tissues in the PFK-2/FBPase-2 activity ratio, kinetic and antigenic properties have suggested the existence of several PFK’s 2,6-bisphosphate isoenzymes.
