Abstract: Der Begriff Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wird zunächst mit Blick auf seine historische Entwicklung eingeleitet (Abschnitt 1). Daran anschließend werden die Besonderheiten der CSR-Debatte dargestellt (Abschnitt 2) und es wird aufgezeigt, welche Ähnlichkeiten und Überschneidungen zu verwandten Konzepten bestehen (Abschnitt 3). Als Konsequenz der vorangegangenen Erläuterungen wird CSR schließlich als ein dynamisches, diskursgeprägtes und umfassendes Konzept definiert (Abschnitt 4).
