TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the impact of pre-existing AIH on the clinical outcomes of patients with COVID-19, and found that patients with AIH are associated with increased hospitalization risk, severe disease, and all-cause mortality compared to patients without preexisting chronic liver disease (CLD), while non-AIH patients were not at risk for worse outcomes than other causes of CLD.
