Journal ArticleDOI

Complete genome structure of the nitrogen-fixing symbiotic bacterium Mesorhizobium loti.

TL;DR: The complete nucleotide sequence of the genome of a symbiotic bacterium Mesorhizobium loti strain MAFF303099 was determined and suggested that the symbiotic island as well as the plasmids originated and were transmitted from other genetic systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Histidine Kinase Homologs That Act as Cytokinin Receptors Possess Overlapping Functions in the Regulation of Shoot and Root Growth in Arabidopsis

TL;DR: expression analysis involving AHK:β-glucuronidase fusion genes suggested that the AHK genes are expressed ubiquitously in various tissues during postembryonic growth and development, and showed that the inhibition of growth is associated with reduced meristematic activity of cells.
