Journal ArticleDOI

Marker-assisted selection strategy to pyramid two or more QTLs for quantitative trait-grain yield under drought

TL;DR: The identification of superior QTL classes and capture of positive QTL x QTL andQTL x background interactions in early generation and their consistent performance in subsequent generations across five backgrounds supports the efficacy of a combined MAS breeding strategy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Identification of QTLs and possible candidate genes conferring sheath blight resistance in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

TL;DR: In order to map the quantitative trait loci (QTLs) governing the sheath blight resistance, two mapping populations (F2 and BC1F2) were developed from the cross BPT-5204/ARC10531 which expressed moderate level of resistance to the disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

QTL Hotspots for Early Vigor and Related Traits under Dry Direct-Seeded System in Rice (Oryza sativa L.).

TL;DR: Trait relationships among the agro-physiological traits were examined to select the best genotypes for the given traits for use in future breeding programs and mutations were identified in the coding region of alpha-amylase precursor and ethylene-insensitive 3 gene between the parents.
