Journal ArticleDOI

Short-term effects of multiple outdoor environmental factors on risk of asthma exacerbations: Age-stratified time-series analysis.

TL;DR: The need for the development of tailored strategies to prevent asthma exacerbation events in different age groups is provided with the need for an age-stratified analysis of the short-term effects of environmental factors in Seoul Metropolitan City from 2008 and 2012.
Journal ArticleDOI

The correlation between contact stiffness and stick–slip of brake friction materials

TL;DR: In this paper, the correlation between contact stiffness and surface topography changed by material wear at the sliding interface was examined by examining a scale brake dynamometer, and the results showed that the intensity and frequency of stick-slip were determined by the relative magnitudes of tangential contact stiffness (k t ), bulk stiffness ( k b ), sliding velocity and the difference (Δ μ ) between the static ( μ s ) and kinetic coefficients ( μ k ) of friction and these results were supported by the contact theories.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of carbon-nanotube length on friction and wear of polyamide 6,6 nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this article, the friction and wear of polyamide 6,6 (PA66) nanocomposites containing 1 ¼% of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with different lengths were studied using a block-on-ring tribometer at different sliding velocities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Friction-induced intermittent motion affected by surface roughness of brake friction materials

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of surface roughness of the brake friction material on friction-induced instability was studied using a scale brake dynamometer, and the results showed that the normal contact stiffness was strongly affected by surface rougheness and played a significant role in determining the friction oscillation pattern.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prevalence and Clinical Characteristics of Local Allergic Rhinitis in Children Sensitized to House Dust Mites.

TL;DR: Despite the evidence to support the existence of LAR in pediatric populations, it is found that its prevalence was relatively low, possibly due to the high rate of agreement between SPT and NPT.
