Fusion of the weakly bound projectile Be-9 with Y-89
C. S. Palshetkar,S. Santra,A. Chatterjee,K. Ramachandran,Shital Thakur,S.K. Pandit,K. Mahata,A. Shrivastava,V. V. Parkar,V. Nanal +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of coupling of both the projectile and target excitations on the above quantities has been investigated, and the complete fusion cross sections, especially at above-barrier energies, have been found to be suppressed by ($20.5$) compared to the ones predicted by the coupled-channels calculations that do not include the couplings to the projectile continuum, indicating the loss of flux from the entrance channel before fusion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fusion reaction studies for the 6 Li + 90 Zr system at near-barrier energies
Harphool Kumawat,Vivekanand Jha,V. V. Parkar,V. V. Parkar,B. J. Roy,S.K. Pandit,R. Palit,P. K. Rath,C. S. Palshetkar,Sushil K. Sharma,Shital Thakur,Ajit Kumar Mohanty,A. Chatterjee,S. Kailas +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of coupling on complete fusion was investigated and it was observed that the complete fusion is suppressed by 34 ± 8% compared to the coupled channel predictions, and a universal behavior of complete fusion suppression factor for the Li projectile with target charge was observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fusion and quasi-elastic scattering in the Li6,7 + Au197 systems
C. S. Palshetkar,Shital Thakur,V. Nanal,A. K. Shrivastava,N. Dokania,N. Dokania,Virendra Singh,Virendra Singh,V. V. Parkar,P. C. Rout,R. Palit,R. G. Pillay,Sumita Bhattacharyya,A. Chatterjee,Swadeshmukul Santra,K. Ramachandran,N. L. Singh +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, a comparison of fusion cross sections of the weakly bound stable nuclei and halo nuclei on a target with respect to fusion and quasi-elastic scattering is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of multiple doubly degenerate bands in 195Tl
T. Roy,G. Mukherjee,Md. A. Asgar,Sumita Bhattacharyya,Soumik Bhattacharya,C. Bhattacharya,Srijit Bhattacharya,T. K. Ghosh,K. Banerjee,K. Banerjee,S. Kundu,T. K. Rana,Pratap Roy,R. Pandey,J. K. Meena,A. Dhal,R. Palit,S. Saha,J. Sethi,Shital Thakur,B. S. Naidu,S.V. Jadav,R. Dhonti,H. Pai,Anindya Goswami +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, two pairs of degenerate bands based on two different quasi-particle configurations have been identified in this nucleus indicating the first observation of such bands in an odd-A nucleus in A ∼ 190 region and signify the first evidence of multiple chiral bands in a nucleus in this region.
Journal ArticleDOI
High spin band structures in doubly odd 194 Tl
H. Pai,G. Mukherjee,S. Bhattacharyya,M. Gohil,T. Bhattacharjee,C. Bhattacharya,R. Palit,S. Saha,J. Sethi,T. Trivedi,Shital Thakur,B. S. Naidu,S. K. Jadav,R. Donthi,Anindya Goswami,S. Chanda +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the high spin states in the odd-odd Tl nucleus have been studied by populating them using the Re${}^{13}text{C,xn$) reactions at a beam energy of 75 MeV.
