Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative transcriptome analysis of Bacillus subtilis responding to dissolved oxygen in adenosine fermentation.

TL;DR: The transcriptome data analysis revealed that low oxygen supply has three major effects on metabolism: enhance carbon metabolism, inhibit degradation of nitrogen sources (glutamate family amino acids and xanthine) and purine synthesis, which provide new insights into the relationship between oxygen supply and metabolism.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genome Sequence of Saccharopolyspora erythraea D, a Hyperproducer of Erythromycin

TL;DR: The whole-genome sequence of the industrial hyperproducer strong mutator Saccharopolyspora erythraea strain D is reported, indicating that this microorganism must often be genetically improved for higher production before it can be used in an industrial setting.
