The FCRAO Extragalactic CO Survey. I. The Data
Judith S. Young,Shuding Xie,Linda J. Tacconi,Pat Knezek,Paul Viscuso,Lowell E. Tacconi-Garman,Nick Scoville,Steve Schneider,F. Peter Schloerb,S. D. Lord,Amy Lesser,Jeff Kenney,Y. L. Huang,Nick Devereux,Mark J. Claussen,James Case,John M. Carpenter,Mike Berry,Lori E. Allen +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the galaxy sample, present the data, and determine global CO fluxes and radial distributions for the galaxies in the FCRAO Extragalactic CO Survey.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global properties of infrared bright galaxies
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the infrared flux densities of 182 galaxies, including 50 galaxies in the Virgo cluster, using IRAS data for 12, 25, 60, and 100 microns, and the results were compared with data listed in the Point Source Catalog (PSC, 1985).
Journal ArticleDOI
The molecular content of interacting and isolated galaxies - the effect of environment on the efficiency of star formation
Judith S. Young,Jeffrey D. P. Kenney,Linda J. Tacconi,Mark J. Claussen,Y. L. Huang,Lowell E. Tacconi-Garman,Shuding Xie,F. P. Schloerb +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, molecular gas observations of merging/interacting and isolated galaxies are presented in order to study the relationship between environment and the efficiency of star formation, and the highest star formation efficiencies appear in the merging and interacting pairs.
