The common voltage line provides a common voltage to the pixel cells, and includes first to third s interconnection patterns which are sequentially stacked over the substrate. Each of the pixel cells includes a storage capacitor which includes a lower electrode, and an upper electrode over the lower electrode. The second interconnection pattern includes the same material as a material of the upper electrode, and is formed in the same process as a process of the upper electrode.

Disclosed is an LCD apparatus having a reduced size and weight. The LCD apparatus includes a bottom chassis having a bottom surface and first to fourth sidewalls. The sidewall of the bottom chassis includes a supporting member for preventing a light guiding plate from being moved and a fixing boss for fixing an optical sheet. The bottom chassis includes a lamp insertion portion for receiving a lamp unit, which is disposed on the third and fourth sidewalls of the bottom chassis. The bottom chassis receives a reflecting plate, the light guiding plate and the optical sheet. A mold frame is coupled to the bottom chassis to fix the reflecting plate, the light guiding plate and the optical sheet to the bottom chassis. A display unit disposed on the mold frame is fixed to the mold frame by a top chassis coupled to the mold frame. Accordingly, a bottom mold frame for receiving a backlight assembly is removed, so that it is able to reduce a cost of the LCD apparatus and a weight thereof.

In the device, a pair of substrates, between which a liquid crystal layer is disposed, is joined with pillars inbetween functioning as spacers which are provided of photocurable resin by photolithography. In a non-single-crystal semiconductor PIN photoelectric structure 3 in which the light is incident on the P-type layer 4, the layer 5 is doped with a P-type impurity, such as boron, distributed so that its concentration decreases towards N-type layer 6. This ensures that the whole of the I-type layer 5 is depleted in operation and compensates for N-type doping due to oxygen, carbon or phosphorus atoms incorporated during the deposition process. The structure may be formed with the P-type layer in contact with a transparent electrode 2 on a transparent substrate 1 (as shown) or may be inverted. The non-single crystal material may be Si, SiC or Ge and may be in amorphous, semiamorphous or microcrystalline form. Amorphous Si may contain hydrogen or fluorine.

CONSTITUTION:A reactive gas is fed to a quartz hood 21 from 23, and passes through a reticulate electrode 2 and reaches to a positive column region 5. Substrates 1, 1 are disposed in the positive column region in parallel with the electric lines of force 5 while the backs are fast stuck mutually. The substrate takes a shape surrounded by a quartz cage. Paired electrodes 2, 3 are supplied with high-frequency energy from the outside, and electricity is discharged to a region 20 in which a uniform electric field is formed. First glow discharge in a uniform electric field region and second glow discharge having high luminance in opened holes or opened grooves 14 are generated simultaneously by forming the opened holes or the opened grooves to the electrodes. Accordingly, plasma concentrates in the electrode central sections 20. The surface to be shaped is disposed in approximately parallel with the electric lines of force.
