Journal ArticleDOI

Lower 3H-paroxetine binding in cerebral cortex of suicide victims is partly due to fewer high affinity, non-transporter sites.

TL;DR: The number of serotonin transporter sites is not altered in Brodmann area 9 in suicide, and that fewer3H-paroxetine and 3H-imipramine binding sites found in this region of cerebral cortex of suicides may be explained by a reduction in the nontransporter binding sites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Postmortem μ-opioid receptor binding in suicide victims and controls

TL;DR: The study demonstrated more μ-opioid receptors in PFC compared with PPCG binding regardless of suicide status, suggesting region-dependent differences in binding affinity in suicide victims may reflect regionally different opiate transmission.
