Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of the enzymatic depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate and AkestraTM using Humicola insolens cutinase
TL;DR: In this article , the activity of Humicola insolens cutinase (HiCut) on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films and powder was investigated, and HiCut showed higher depolymerization activity on amorphous PET films than on Akestra™ films.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Purification and Characterization of a Cutinase-like Enzyme with Activity on Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) from a Newly Isolated Bacterium Stenotrophomonas maltophilia PRS8 at a Mesophilic Temperature
Salah ud Din,Kalsoom,Sadia Mehmood Satti,Salah Uddin,Smita V. Mankar,Esma Ceylan,Fariha Hasan,Samiullah Khan,Malik Badshah,A. Osman Beldüz,Sabriye Canakci,Bo Zhang,Javier A. Linares-Pastén,Aamer Ali Shah +13 more
TL;DR: In this article , a polyethylene terephthalate (PET)-degrading bacterium identified as Stenotrophomonas maltophilia PRS8 was isolated from the soil of a landfill.
Journal ArticleDOI
Short-Loop Chemical Recycling via Telechelic Polymers for Biobased Polyesters with Spiroacetal Units
Smita V. Mankar,Jan Wahlberg,Niklas Warlin,Nitin G. Valsange,Nicola Rehnberg,Stefan Lundmark,Patric Jannasch,Bo Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: A vanillin-based diol with a spirocyclic acetal structure was incorporated in a series of rigid amorphous polyesters based on neopentyl glycol and dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) as discussed by the authors .
