Detection and Mapping of Seagrass Meadows at Ritchie’s Archipelago using Sentinel 2A Satellite Imagery
Sharad Bayyana,Satish Pawar,Swapnali Gole,Sohini Dudhat,Anant Pande,Debashis Mitra,Jeyaraj Antony Johnson,Kuppusamy Sivakumar +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared three classification models for mapping seagrasses using Sentinel-2A satellite data, viz. Random Forest, Support Vector Machine and K-Nearest Neighbor; Random Forest classification model proved most effective with 0.99 model accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatio-temporal analysis identifies marine mammal stranding hotspots along the Indian coastline
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors found that stranding events spike during June-September along the west coast and during December-January along the east coast of India, and identified several sections of the coastline, such as Mumbai (0.38 strandings/km), Kozhikode (0.,28 strandings), Tuticorin ( 0.4 strandings)/km), Rameswaram (1.82 strandings/) and Bhubaneshwar (0,26 strandings /km) with a higher number of stranded animals reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Light-Weight Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Surveys Detect Dugongs and Other Globally Threatened Marine Species from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India
Sagar Rajpurkar,Anant Pande,Sajal Sharma,Swapnali Gole,Sohini Dudhat,Jeyaraj Antony Johnson,Kuppusamy Sivakumar +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the graphite properties of graphite lenses in the Palaeoproterozoic Mahakoshal Group were confirmed using Raman spectroscopy at National Centre of Excellence in Geoscience Researches, GSI Kolkata.
