TL;DR: The first report of off-label denosumab use in combination with cinacalcet in the long-term management of parathyromatosis-related refractory hypercalcemia is described, successful in maintaining the patient’s serum calcium in the normal/upper-normal range over a 36-month period with no significant side effects.

Vitamin D supplements and bone mineral density

TL;DR: There was no significant decrease in bone density at any site in older patients receiving vitamin D treatment, and the fact that there is no significant increase at measured sites, apart from the clinically important femoral neck, is not necessarily a negative finding.
